Using SVG.org's Upload Feature

Every registered users of SVG.org has its own directory for uploading files to the site. This folder can contain at most 10MB of data, and you can delete files you don't need there anymore in order to clean space if you need some more.

Uploading files in your directory is simple. In the "Your Account" box on the right, select "Your Files". There you will see a list of files if you have any uploaded, with a way to mark and unmark files for deletion, and a clickable name so you get a link to the location of the file. There is also a button to select a local file to upload to the server. Once you upload a file, it is added in your list of files.

Please feel free to use this feature to upload content relevant to your usage of SVG.org. For instance, you can upload images that you want to have showing in a diary entry or a submitted story. You can also save your favorite SVG files in this directory, so other users can see them. Any user can see the files you uploaded by going to your user page. Please do not abuse this system by posting illegal content to the site.

One last note about file upload. When writing a new story, you will see an invitation to upload a file if you so desire. This upload feature is different than the one above as it only offers to upload a piece of text or HTML to be sent instead of the "extended body" part of your story. This allows you to prepare a story in your favorite editor and send the file in one go. The contents of the file uploaded there will be read as a string and used to build the story. The file itself will be discarded and thus not be saved in your files directory.

Another vote for yes. There's not that much space required anyway. Dave Davis
