Not content with announcing a slew of SVG phones (so far, the 3250, 6265, 6280, 7710, N70, N90, N91 as well as the 770 internet tablet) and being the first manufacturer to support the new JSR 226 J2ME APIs for scalable 2D graphics, Nokia is putting SVG support into its developer software too. The first tool to be graced with SVG support is the Series 60 Theme Studio, which was quietly introduced in version 2.0 in July and supports theme creation for the new devices powered by Series 60 2nd Edition with Feature Pack 3 and up. This new version adds the capability to create scaleable skins based on the usage of SVG Tiny files.
