Nokia recently released the Nokia Prototype SDK v4.0 suite of tools for the Java Mobile Environment. With this latest release, used together with a variety of other J2ME development tools, such as the Sun Wireless Toolkit, mobile application developers can start evaluating and using the SVG-based JSR 226 Scalable 2D Graphics APIs. On top of reference classes implementing the JSR 226 APIs, as well as other key J2ME APIs, such as JSR 135 (Multimedia), JSR 184 (3D graphics), JSR 75 (Personal Information Management), etc., the Nokia Prototype SDK lets developers emulate the result with a variety of device platforms and screen resolutions. For more on the SDK, a detailed datasheet is available through the Nokia Forum developer website.
