Sony Ericsson kicked off the 3GSM World Congress in style by announcing two new 3G phone models fully equipped with SVG Tiny support, further confirming their commitment to industry browsing standards. The K600, available in Q3, supports UMTS and GPRS networks, packs in a 1.3 megapixel camera and sports a 1.8 inch display. On the SVG front, the K600 features SVG Tiny 1.1 support neatly integrated with anti-aliasing and access to device fonts. The V800, available in Q2 through Vodafone networks, is a 3G clamshell boasting a rotating 1.3 megapixel camera, support for MP3/AAC/M4A music formats and a Memory Stick PRO Duo slot for memory up to 1GB. The V800 also is compatible with SVG Tiny 1.1 with anti-aliasing.
