Batik 1.6 is Released

Thomas DeWeese, project lead for the Batik SVG toolkit, has just released version 1.6. For those who don't know, Batik is an open-source project for various SVG applications, including rendering, rasterizing, and conversion utilities. It supports script (but not SMIL animation) and can be used serverside or clientside.
This release includes numerous bug fixes and several new features. Improvements include:
- SVG 1.2's flowRoot element, and several other SVG 1.2 features, which have gone into the main SVG namespace, out of the experimental phase
- Mac OS X performance boost
- Various DOM methods have been implemented, including getEnclosureList, getIntersectionList, getTotalLength, and getPointAtLength
