UIQ Technology, maker of the Symbian-based UIQ mobile platform, and BitFlash, a provider of Mobile SVG-based technologies, announced that they have entered into a partnership to offer pre-integrated SVG Tiny 1.2 solutions to UIQ customers. With this arrangement, UIQ licensees, such as mobile phone manufacturers Sony Ericsson, Motorola or BenQ, will be able to make SVG Tiny 1.2 a core feature of their open UIQ platform. Integration of Mobile SVG within mobile platforms has been the hot ticket recently with S60 and BREW already offering SVG Tiny support to their developers.
