Ikivo Brings SVG to Printing Market

Ikivo have recently announced SVG expanding to the printing industry by signing a licensing agreement with one of the largest printer manufacturers in the world. While little information is known at the moment as to how SVG will be put to use as part of this agreement, the press release hints at using SVG for enriching the user interface on printer displays.

Even though this announcement talks about SVG Tiny 1.2, it is worth pointing out that SVG is an applicable technology to the world of printing, and an SVG Print specification is currently underway at W3C to deal with printing workflows.

Does anybody know the "one of the largest printer manufacturers in the world" with which Ikivo has the agreement?

SVG in the printing industry? Interesting. One question though, what is this SVG Tiny 1.2? What does it do? I hear it and read it everywhere. Where can I find more information regarding this product? More power to SVG! Laws of Construct
