Why I think SVG rocks!

Posted by grantg apropos on Fri Feb 29th, 2008 at 15:37:56 BST

I began SVG work a couple of months ago and have been an active member of the SVG site and wiki for a few months, eagerly watching over while keeping my voice quiet. I have noticed that, through the use of search engine optimization, the site I primarily used my oh-so-terrible SVG skills on has really started to pick up - traffic has increased ten-fold, orders are now coming through for garden furniture for this years' garden season, especially Alexander Rose garden furniture and nova garden furniture. Time will be running short for the next couple of months as it runs into the busy gardening season, so rest assured I won't be gone for too long and will keep dropping in whenever I get a spare 5 minutes. Thanks guys.

Happy New Year!

Posted by grantg apropos on Sun Dec 30th, 2007 at 14:33:30 BST

Hello again to readers of my boring diary! Today my new cane suite arrived, which I ordered on Boxing Day. It's lovely, made by MGM Cane Furniture. I got it for a big discount price as a pre-season bargain from my work. So I'm pretty pleased about that, in fact I'm sitting on it in the Carlton conservatory I also bought from my work in the summer past. I'm thinking about getting a new aqua one aquarium or maybe even a bigger Exo Terra vivarium for my bearded dragon. I've not quite decided yet, as I know Pete the Dragon (yes, named after Pete's Dragon Disney movie;)) needs to be kept in the right conditions, I think the conservatory will be a bit too hot during the day and cold at night,so I suppose a new heater and thermostat could do the trick. With the fish tank I think the temperature would vary too much in the conservatory during summer and winter, especially with the seasons and temperatures the UK gets nowadays - 30c in summer, -10c in winter.
Well, I think that's all I've got to say for now. Actually, that's all I have to say for 2007. So I will look forward to writing more on my diary about my new ventures in business both in terms of web development and this graphic design crash course I've decided to go on. More about that later, though.
Many thanks for reading, and I hope you continue to read my diary in 2008. Happy New Year, everyone!

My new directory site.

Posted by grantg apropos on Sun Dec 23rd, 2007 at 19:08:08 BST

Hello to those who are reading today.

I've set up a new directory today. Just another one of those ideas to keep me busy over the festive period. The directory is aimed solely at the home, garden and leisure niche. Shortly afterwards I will be making my own directory template using the skills I have learnt recently during my degree. If you are interested in the directory, please visit it at Garden & Leisure Directory.

I look forward to seeing you all soon, maybe some of you will have a suitable site to submit to the directory, if you do, I'm more than happy to accept your submissions!

I hope you all have a great Christmas and a Happy New Year.

Regards,
Grant

My Life

Well, what can I say? I use SVG, Photoshop, Autocad and a few others for my graphic design degree. At weekends and evenings I work on a few websites, which are:

And that's all I do, all day, every day. If you want to speak to me, just send me an email to the email address on my user information profile!

Thanks!
